Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy was born in Miami Florida on 16 April 1996. Half English and a quarter Spanish she is the daughter of Dennis Alan Taylor a former banker as well as Jennifer Marina Joy a psychologist. The father of her is Argentine who is of Scottish and English descendance. The mother of Taylor-Joy has Spanish and English heritage. Taylor-Joy has four siblings from her father's prior marriage. The family was at Buenos Aires up until Taylor-Joy was 6 years old, when they relocated to Victoria district of London. According to Taylor-Joy the relocation was difficult and she decided to not learn English in hopes of returning to Argentina. Hill House had to be her new school following the transferred from Northlands. Then, she was enrolled at Queen's Gate School to study ballet and act in the school's shows. After she turned 16, she dropped out of school in order to take on a full-time job in acting. Taylor-Joy was a child actress and was sure she would eventually become an actor. It was her wish to be a model when Sarah Doukas, the founder of Storm Management offered her a modelling job.
